YBD209 – English II is an A2 (elementary to pre-intermediate) level asynchronous online compulsory course for students in their freshman year of Faculty of Law. It aims to develop students’ basic language skills in the target language, focusing on three language skills (reading, writing, listening) as well as including frequently used everyday expressions and phrases so that they can communicate and deal with everyday situations in English. Students are expected to become acquainted and build competency with some frequently used basic language structures and functions and lexical items. It is also intended to develop very basic critical thinking and communication skills of the learners throughout the course.
