ENG 122 Final Exam Make-Up Announcement

Dear students,

ENG 122 FINAL EXAM MAKE-UP will be on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at 10:00. You are expected to be present in Room 211 (Prep Annex Building) before 09:45 in order for us to carry out all necessary exam procedures and make announcements. You are supposed to have your Çankaya University student ID cards and the National ID card. 

Please note that make-up exams are only available to students who have a valid excuse and have submitted a petition for consideration.

The exam consists of the topics from the ENG 122 course syllabus and the first 6 units of the Skillful 4 Listening & Speaking book.  The exam will take 70 minutes and it is 100 points in total.  

The exam consists of:

LISTENING PART (60 points)

  • Listening 1 – Listening to a lecture, note-taking, answering related questions
  • Listening 2 – Listening to a conversation and answering related questions

VOCABULARY PART (30 points) – Answering related questions

DISCUSSION STRATEGIES PART (10 points) – Answering related questions

ENG 122 Final Exam will be executed as follows:

  • Listening 1 (Listening to a lecture – note-taking – listening to the text ONCE)
  • 1 mins. silence – going over the note-taking sheet
  • Listening to the lecture
  • 8 mins. – answering questions

 

  • Listening 2 (Listening to a conversation – listening to the text ONCE)
  • 3 mins. silence – going over the note-taking sheet
  • Listening to the conversation
  • 3 mins. – answering questions

 

  • Vocabulary Use
  • Discussion Strategies

 

Reminder 1: If you arrive late for the exam, please contact Corridor Attendant.

Reminder 2:  You will answer the questions in Listening 1 after listening to the lecture ONCE and have taken notes on note-taking sheet. Therefore, the booklets will be distributed to you upside down just after the end of the lecture. You are expected to take and check your booklet as soon as the LECTURE is over. You will have 8 minutes to answer the questions and check your answers.

Reminder 3: No one is allowed to leave the exam room until the listening session (30 minutes) is over.
