The Modern Languages Unit designs and implements compulsory and elective foreign language courses for students enrolled in our university’s graduate and undergraduate programs. In addition to compulsory and elective English courses, the Modern Languages Unit offers elective courses in German, French, Russian, Italian, and Spanish, enabling our students to learn a second foreign language.
Our vision as the Modern Languages Unit is to enhance our students’ language skills that they will need both in their academic pursuits and professional lives, fostering individuals who are confident, motivated, responsible, and possess scientific and ethical values throughout the process of foreign language learning.
In line with this vision, our mission is to provide high-quality language education that takes into account contemporary language teaching approaches and methods. With a student-centered, innovative, and dynamic approach, we aim to enable our students to advance their foundational language skills acquired in English Preparatory Unit to a more advanced level. Moreover, our mission is to ensure that our students acquire academic and professional communication skills in the target language.
